Your Questions, Answered
We’ve gathered our most common answers to help you feel confident and ready for class.
1. I’m new to Pilates — is Reformer Pilates right for me?
Yes! Reformer Pilates is perfect for all levels, from total beginners to experienced movers. Our instructors will guide you safely through each exercise and help you feel confident every step of the way. For your first few classes, we recommend booking into one of our 'Flow Fundamentals' classes which are beginner friendly.
2. What exactly is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates uses a specially designed machine from the original Pilates equipment repertoire, with springs and pulleys to create resistance. This allows you to build strength, improve flexibility, and move with better alignment — all at your own pace.
3. What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable, fitted activewear that lets you move freely. Grip socks are mandatory on the Reformer for safety and hygiene. We offer a range of grip socks for purchase in the studio.
4. Do I need to bring anything?
Just bring your grip socks, a water bottle, and your good energy. We provide everything else you’ll need in class.
5. Why do I need grip socks?
Grip socks keep you stable on the Reformer and help us maintain the highest hygiene standards. They’re also non-negotiable for your safety.
6. How do I book a class?
Booking is simple — reserve your spot through our Gymcatch booking page. If you ever need help with booking, just reach out!
7. How much does it cost?
We offer a variety of flexible class packs on our Gymcatch page to suit your schedule and budget. Each package page includes details on savings and expiry dates so you can choose what works best for you.
8. What’s your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 10 hours before your class starts. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in a lost class credit.
9. When should I arrive?
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so you have time to settle in and start your session stress-free. Late arrivals can disrupt the flow for everyone, therefore we can't admit latecomers to class.
10. Can I do Reformer Pilates while pregnant?
If you're pregnant or post natal, please get in touch with us so that we can advise on which classes are suited to you.
11. Do you offer private sessions?
Yes! We love working with you one-on-one. Private and semi-private sessions are available for personalised support and deeper guidance. Please get in touch with us for more details on booking and pricing.
12. How many people are in a class?
We keep our classes small and supportive so you get plenty of individual attention. Our current capacity is 7x clients for reformer and 10x clients for mat.
13. Can I pause or extend my class pack?
We understand that life happens! If you have an unexpected situation like illness or travel, just get in touch — we’ll do our best to help you extend your class pack expiry date where possible. Class packs are non-refundable.
14. What if I have an injury or health condition?
Please let us know about any injuries or health conditions before class. Our instructors will always offer modifications and support to help you move safely and comfortably.
15. Do you have an age limit?
Our classes are for clients aged [17+] only.
